The 9th edition of the Red Charity Gala was a huge success. On the second weekend of October Manila’s elite gathered at the Shangri-la at the Fort to celebrate one of the most anticipated balls of the year hosted by the dynamic duo with hearts of gold Tessa Prieto-Valdes and Kaye Tinga.
Their passion for charity and love for fashion has brought them together to help raise funds for the Philippine National Red Cross and Assumption HS Batch ’81 Foundation.
Since its inception a major fashion show featuring the brightest and biggest names in the fashion industry showcase Philippine fashion at it’s finest. Dennis Lustico was the first designer to be featured followed by Filipino designers who made waves on the international stage, Furne One, Michael Cinco, Cary Santiago, Ezra Santos, Jojie Lloren and Lesley Mobo. Last year, Chito Vijandre came out of retirement for one night to showcase a collection that was simply magical.
Joey Samson was chosen to be the featured designer year. His 49-piece collection called “PilgrimAge” was nothing short of mind-blowing, where he redefined what eveningwear could be. It was all about the details and his ingenious way in creating one masterpiece after another. Bravo Joey!
