Happy Mother’s Day To My Hero!

Have you seen the newest Mother’s Day video from PLDT and Smart? I must admit it got me hooked from the moment it began that my eyes started to sweat by the end of the video.

I truly appreciate how a big brand such as PLDT/Smart was able to tell a “real story”. Lets face it not everything in life is all lollipops and roses, we go through some tough times and rough patches that may result in an unconventional family set-up.

There is nothing wrong with that since I belong to one. My Mom became a “single” mother in 1997 when all of a sudden she had the daunting task of raising five kids on her own. I was 23 at the time so it was not so much of raising me but supporting my beginning years in show business. What she went through was difficult and life changing. But she persevered and came out victorious by raising my siblings and I the best way possible. I am proud of how my siblings have turned out, all achievers in their respective fields and it is because of the undying love and all out support of our Mom.

I have huge respect for all the Mothers out there who have sacrificed so much of themselves for the well being of their family. My Mom is a living testimony of unconditional love, courage and grace.

I honor you today and all the days of my life Mom, “I love you mucho mucho con delirio”. May God continue to bless you with divine health and grant you the desires of your heart.
