It was a shopping frenzy at the launch of the H&M Studio S/S18 Exclusive Collection in Greenbelt 4, Makati that featured the urban grace and minimalism of Japan.
After being invited to quite a number of H&M events in Manila since they opened three years ago, I finally got the groove on how to shop during those special events where only the invited can enter.
I go straight to the clothes and pick as many styles as I can and then try them on and leave those that I don’t like. Most of the times there is someone waiting by the dressing room to check if they can get the ones you don’t like or that don’t fit. I also get clothes for my wife and children if they are not with me, so you can imagine how I look when I shop alone. It is a good thing they get to preview the clothes online before the exclusive collection hits the stores. After I shop that is when I socialize.
The great thing about the Studio Collection is that there are only a few pieces available per size. Making the chances of you having the same look with someone else less.
The materials used in the Studio Collections are more luxe such as hairy jacquards, cotton-silk blends, recycled polyester, bonded viscose twill, cotton and heavy knits. The designs are quite unique as well. This particular collection for both men and women focuses more on clean silhouettes with a relaxed vibe, which is something right up my alley.
The Studio SS18 Collection is only available at the H&M Greenbelt 4 store. Do check them out just in case there are still pieces left in stock.
Happy Shopping!
