Lucia Turns 1

Lucia from the day she was born and every month since then to the day she turned one.

As I celebrate the first year since I went live with my blog, it is but timely to also post something about the first birthday of our youngest daughter Lucia who turned one last November 27, six days after her mom Ayen celebrated her birthday.

I still remember the day Lucia was born, she came a bit earlier than scheduled when we had to rush to Makati Medical Center cause Ayen felt it was time for her to give birth. I still can’t believe that it has been a year. Everything that happened that day is still fresh in my memory. It has gone by so fast that I can hardly keep up. From the time I held her in my arms to seeing her react and smile, to sitting up, to crawling, to making sounds and trying to talk, to her first time to eat solid food, to seeing her teeth come out, to walking, yes she took her first steps a few days before she turned one. I am so glad I got to document all of it.

Here’s a tip for all parents out there, with the access to high-tech phones, cameras and gadgets, put it into good use by documenting everything, every single move, smile, moment cause you can only catch it once.

After that store them in an external hard drive and secure it by storing it in another hard drive for safe keeping. Take it from me who has four daughters, you will need it when the time comes when you need photos and videos of every major milestone in their lives.

I thank God for blessing us with another daughter who was a complete surprise but one we welcomed with open arms and full of gratitude. Our children are all blessings.
