I have a confession to make, can you believe that I have never eaten at the internationally acclaimed and Michelin-starred restaurant Kam’s Roast in Hong Kong, not even at the legendary Yung Kee Restaurant. For the life of me I don’t even know why considering I love to eat really good food.
So when I was invited to the soft-opening of Kam’s Roast at the third level of the Mega Fashion Hall by FOODEE Global’s Rikki and Beng Dee and their son Eric, I did not let go of the opportunity of being one of the first to try it here in Manila.
After Eric welcomed us and explained what we were going to have for lunch, my stomach was making so much noise cause everything he described sounded delicious. So when I took my first bite of the critically acclaimed Kam’s Roast Duck and Roast Soya Chicken I just went to culinary heaven.
It took a lot of self-control not to get up and dance for joy cause now I understand what the rave is all about.
The menu may be simple but that is the secret to the success of Kam’s Roast, serving up Michelin-acclaimed dishes such as Kam’s Roast Duck, Suckling Pig, Barbecued Char Siu Pork, Roast Soya Chicken,Toro and Crispy Pork, Duck Leg Noodle, Century Egg to name a few. Each recipe is meticulously made from the freshest premium ingredients, some flown in from Hong Kong and some locally sourced such us the duck, which is flown in from Davao. All delicately prepared to bring out the flavors and textures the restaurant has become famous for.
So Manila, get ready cause Kam’s Roast will be opening its doors this May 15 at the 3rdLevel of the Mega Fashion Hall. I can just imagine the long line that will be will be forming from the 15thonwards, but let me tell you it is so worth the wait.
