I really love to eat a good hearty meal and that is exactly what I had when I was invited to an intimate dinner at MIREIO, Raffles Makati’s newest dining destination.
This elegant brasserie-style restaurant offers Provençal-inspired cuisine that will truly satisfy one’s craving for authentic French cuisine.
I had the privilege of meeting Mireio’s Chef de Cuisine, Nicolas Cegretin who along with his culinary team whipped up some of the most mouth-watering French Mediterranean dishes I have ever tried. On the menu that evening were Fresh and Smoked Salmon Tartare with Granny Smith Apple and Dijon Mustard Cream, Roasted Foie Gras with Nutmeg, Slow-cooked Oxtail Parmentier with Black Truffle Jus and Mesclun and Rum Baba.
The casual yet refined interiors of Mireio, with floor to ceiling windows displaying the beautiful Makati cityscape is a sight to behold. Aside from the stunning view of Makati, a collection of commissioned artwork from Philippine artists are exhibited throughout the restaurant, including an impressive modern painting depicting the story of Mireio by renowned artist Marcel Antonio.
And for those who want to see the sunset or enjoy the evening al fresco, a cozy rooftop terrace offers cool cocktails created by the hotel’s mixolgists.
What more can I ask for, an exquisite meal with a stunning view of the city and cozy interiors. I will definitely be back with my family where we can try some of the dishes that I have been craving for like the Traditional Puff Pastry Filled with Chicken and Foie Gras Pate, Pan-seared Herb Crusted Sea Bass and Ratatouille-Stuffed Canelloni with Ginger and Olive Oil and Apple Tarte Tatin with Vanilla Ice Cream. OK I just got hungry now!
Bon appetite!
Blessings,
