After missing last year’s tour-de-force show of Ivarluski Aseron at the Peninsula Manila due to an illness, I made sure no to miss this year’s Red Charity Gala featuring the “Farm To Fashion” collection of Lulu Tan Gan held at Shangri-la at the Fort.
The dynamic duo of philanthropy Tessa Prieto and Kaye Tinga gave us an evening to remember from the musical numbers by theater stalwarts Shiela Valderrama, Arman Ferrer and Carla Guevara Laforteza, to the exceptional staging led by Gino Gonzalez (Stage Design), Monino Duque (Lights Design) and the eventual fashion show directed by Robby Carmona. The auction was a success thanks to Tessa and Tim Yap.
The collection of Lulu Tan Gan styled by Noel Manapat, highlighted the piña fabric creating wearable couture pieces that can be mixed and matched, which Lulu is so well-known for.

The Red Charity Gala gets bigger and better as the years go by. I personally can’t wait for next year’s featured designer Rhett Eala, which promises to be another magical evening of fashion and philanthropy.
Blessings,
