New Year, New Discoveries

Here’s a look back at the year 2020.

Despite what the world was going through, we tried to look at the past year as a year of revelations where we got to discover our children’s hidden talents such as baking for Mariella that led to her own business Golden Dough PH. Film making and Muay Thai for Hasan that transformed him to a lean and fit fighting machine. Angia delved into her artistic side by focusing on production design and make-up. We also saw our babies Sofia & Lucia grow and adapt to the new normal of online classes and activities where they are both excelling.

Mariella discovered her passion for baking and turned it to a thriving business called Golden Dough PH.

Hasan went through major transformation losing 58 pounds in 7 months with a strict healthy diet, focused work out regimen (Muay Thai). Not only did it help him physically but mentally as well.

Angia’s different looks she created all throughout 2020. Her Tik-Tok account is a testament of her creativity.

Sofia & Lucia’s online school and activities at home has sparked their passion for creativity, the arts and education.

Ayen and I got to take full advantage of continuing our work using the digital platform. All of this was possible with the tremendous help of PLDT Home.

We were blessed to still have work last year that gave us the opportunity to grow as we ventured into the digital platform.

What we are grateful for is that we literally rediscovered what truly matters, the unconditional love and support of family in time of uncertainty.

We tried to look at the positive things in 2020 but last September we unexpectedly lost my Mom. It was the most painful thing I have ever experienced in my life. The one I truly leaned on aside from my family is God.

My Mom, Mama Fely Laurel unexpectedly left us last September. Her passing left a void in our hearts. We are comforted with the fact that she is now happy and dancing in Heaven.

God always has a way of turning sorrow into joy, turning mourning into dancing.
