I am what you call a scent junkie, I really love fragrances to the point I have a refrigerator dedicated to storing my loot. Yup you read it right, I store my collection of fragrances in a cool place to help retain the scent. This was something I discovered more than 20 years ago and I swear it works!
I am sharing with you my top 8 fragrances that I discovered last year. Each one I fell in love with at first whiff.
1. Yuja Cologne by Jo Malone London is a Woody Aromatic fragrance for women and men. This new fragrance from the house of Jo Malone was launched in 2020 as part of the limited edition line from the Blossom collection.
Top note is Yuzu; middle note is Clary Sage; base notes are Balsam Fir and Cedar.
I immediately fell in love with this scent that I got myself two bottles, I literally got the last 100ml bottle in Manila since this particular collection did really well in the market. There might be some 30ml in the stores so check them out before they are truly gone.

2. Mediterranean Neroli by Ermenegildo Zegna is another favorite of mine. This Citrus Aromatic fragrance for men was launched in 2015 and is part of the Essenze line. I don’t know why it took me five years to discover this but I am glad I did!
Top notes are Petitgrain, Bergamot, Mint, Lemon and Ginger; middle notes are Neroli, Jasmine, Lavender, Rhubarb, Cypress and Rosemary; base notes are Cypriol Oil or Nagarmotha, Moss, Sandalwood, Ambroxan and Musk.
3. Italian Bergamot by Ermenegildo Zegna is a Citrus Aromatic fragrance from the Essenze collection. What I love about this particular scent is its subtle elegance and the fresh aroma of Calabrian bergamot oil, neroli, rosemary and vetiver perfect for the tropical weather like what we have here in the Philippines.

4. Fig & Lotus Flower by Jo Malone London is a Floral Fruity fragrance for men and women that uplift the spirit. Its effect on me reminds me of how the scent Lime Basil & Mandarin has on me every time I use it.
5. Cypress & Grapevine Cologne Intense by Jo Malone London is a Woody Aromatic fragrance for women and men that is quite catching even if it from the Intense line, its still comes out fresh especially when it is mixed with another fresh scent from Jo Malone.
The great thing about Jo Malone fragrances is that you can combine them with each other to create a bespoke scent. And the combination of these two is simply sublime. Both these fragrances were launched in 2020.

6.Infusion Mandarine by Prada is my favorite scent from the Infusion line. This Citrus Aromatic fragrance was launched in 2018. This is truly perfect for the tropical weather like here in the Philippines where you can use it anytime of the day and smell fresh and clean all day long.
Top notes are Green Mandarin, Orange, Orange Peel and Mandarin Leaf; middle notes are Orange Blossom and Neroli; base note is Opoponax.

7. Aqua Allegoria Ginger Piccante by Guerlain was a pleasant surprise for me. All this time I thought it was going to be a bit floral and spicy for me but the moment I tried this Aromatic Spicy fragrance my children immediately loved it on me and asked to spray it on them too. Once it mixes with your own body musk, it creates this spell binding aroma that invigorates you. This particular scent was launched in 2019.
Top notes are Ginger, Bergamot and Lemon; middle notes are Rose and Pepper; base notes are White Musk and Cedar.

8.Tacit by Aesop is another surprise discovery for me. My wife Ayen gifted me with a 50 ml Eau de Parfum and said that this would smell good on me. You see when it comes to fragrances she has the nose for it and has the ability to find the perfect scent for anyone she gifts them to. And you know what? She was right. I loved it so much that I used it ever since the lockdown began last year. And guess what I recently purchased another bottle.
This Woody Aromatic fragrance’s top notes are Yuzu and Citruses; middle note is Basil; base notes are Vetiver and Cloves.
Exclusively available at Aesop located at Greenbelt 5.
All of these fragrances are available in the market today, except for the Yuja Cologne, but maybe you can try contacting Jo Malone and see if they still have the 30ml bottles on hand.
