I had the pleasure of being invited to a private dinner hosted by Tita Susan Joven and my good friend Mia Borromeo at the newly opened restaurant PINOT.
It was an evening filled with laughter and gustatory delight as friends old and new enjoyed every single bite of the seven-course Degustacion menu PINOT chef Markus Gfeller and chef de cuisine Ciara Fabie Teotico prepared for all of us.
The concept of modern European cuisine was something I particularly enjoyed a lot. What I also appreciated was the selection of food that was offered. Since I don’t eat red meat and potatoes, the chefs prepared pan fried salmon on top of Cumin Honey – Saffron Pumpkin and Parsley which was literally heaven in my mouth.
I could not stop raving about the food. Every single dish was simply amazing. The subtlety of one dish would compliment the explosion of flavors on another giving us a gastronomical feast I will dream of for days.
The 60-seater restaurant is the perfect venue to host intimate parties or even reserve the private room for smaller parties. On a side note, the private dining area was so private I did not even get to see some of my friends who were also there. We just realized it when we saw each other’s IG post and IG Stories.
For those that love to pair their dishes with wine, PINOT has a beautiful and well-curated wine list.
