A New Beginning

I have always wanted to start my own blog but I never really knew how. I had so many things I want to blog about but somehow it was just all in my head. My friend Cara Subijano-Wong came home to Manila for a short visit and she told me to start a blog, I asked her how to go about it, she said it was very simple. I thought about it but I never really got to do it until my wife, Ayen told me to start one and so the thought of what to blog about or what to call my blog came about. Then I spoke to my good friend JC Buendia who also blogging at the time. He said, with all your experiences in traveling, food, the arts, fashion, and everything you like, you should begin writing about that. And in 2012 “The Happy Man…..” went online, I wante to write about anything I love whether it be food, movie, plays, clothes, travel, fashion and life in general. I also want to write positive things and take away the negativity so that whoever read my blog will feel the joy and take something positive from it.

Blogging opened so many doors for me, for one it led me to writing and being a Contributing Editor at Metro Society magazine, I eventually became the Associate Publisher and Features Editor of Lifestyle Asia magazine and later the Editor-in-Chief of its digital platform LifestyleAsia.ph. I learned so many things in my three years in the publishing world, which I am very grateful for.

I eventually went back to blogging so that I can work on my own pace, spend more time with my family and continue to pursue my passion for the performing arts.
