Being given the chance to watch one of the most popular musicals of all time twice in a month together with my family is what I call a blessing! I can’t thank my PLDT Home / SMART Family and Concertus Manila enough for this amazing experience.

My daughter Mariella and I watched it together during the Gala Night, while my wife Ayen and our second daughter Angia and I watched it during the PLDT SMART Night.

I remember vividly the first time I saw The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway in 1995, the experience was out of this world. 24 years later the production is even better than the first time I watched it.

We were all blown away by the brilliant performance of the cast led by Jonathan Roxmouth as The Phantom, Meghan Picerno as Christine Daae and Matt Leisy as Raoul. This show demands lungs of steel and powerful pipes to give justice to the music of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, and they all delivered. Proof of that is both my daughters were in tears at the end of the show.

I encourage everyone to watch it at The Theatre at Solaire. This is one show you cannot miss. And for those who have seen it before, this cast is worth watching it again. The Phantom of the Opera will run until April 4, 2019.
